It turned out the our bodies can only use one source of energy, what does that mean?, that means, your body burns either sugar, or fat for energy, not both!! And since it can not store more than 500 g of sugar, your body will always burn sugar first. So as long as you are consuming carbohydrates (which means all kinds of sugar), your body will always be in Sugar-burning mode!
However, if you don't consume any carbohydrates, your body will switch to fat-burning mode, your liver hen turns this fat into what's called "ketones", a type of acid, and sends them into your bloodstream, so your muscles and other tissues can then use them for fuel!
So I wanted to verify this shit to myself, I minimized my carbohydrates intake to only low-carb vegetables, I completely cut out Grains. bread, pasta, rice, crackers, cereal, starchy vegetables. Potatoes and of course sweets, fruit. whole fruit and fruit juice. I then maximized my fat intake to 80% of my diet, so a lot olive oil, coconut oil and grass-fed butter, a lot of eggs, seafood, avocados, and nuts.
The first 3 days were difficult, but by the 4th day all food craving was gone, and I stopped feelings hungry,
by the 5th day my level of energy increased and I only needed one meal a day, by the second week I noted that my pants are getting bigger, by the 3 month I had buy new trousers, and 6 months down the road I started to wear my girlfriend clothes.
My weight drop was not the only amazing result... I also feel way more energetic, and increase in cognitive abilities, with less sleeping hours and less food!
So it Ketoganic diet is the optimal diet? As a chef, and food expert I highly recommend it, but you can see my results! :)
Whats' Ketoganic diet?
The ketogenic is a low carbohydrate, high fat diet. It's an fantastic tool for weight loss, and more importantly, according to an increasing number of studies, it's used to cure
diabetes, heart diseases, stroke, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, and cancer.
When on this diet, your body enters a metabolic state, called ketosis. While in ketosis your body is using ketone bodies for energy instead of glucose. Ketone bodies are derived from fat and are a much more stable, steady source of energy than glucose, which is derived from carbohydrates.
Entering ketosis usually takes anywhere from 3 days to, a week. Once you’re in ketosis, you’ll be using fat for energy, instead of carbs. This includes the fat you eat and stored body fat.
